I travel to Milton Keynes often for work and always stay at the Mercure as its a great distance from my office. The rooms are always lovely and clean, the beds are super comfortable with lovely soft pillows and I love that the TVs have chromecast so you can easily watch things using your phone apps. The restaurant is always nice and clean, I normally have breakfast and it's really tasty with a great selection. The best thing about the mercure though is definitely the staff. Ahmed at reception is always so warm and welcoming, he always gives me a film suggestion for the evening and so far he hasn't failed me (the most recent being Million dollar baby which was fantastic). The bar and restaurant staff are also always really sweet. The cleaners are always hard at work in the mornings turning the rooms over and despite being busy they always make sure to stop and say hello. Thanks to everyone who works there for making my trips to the office worth it. 🥰

Solo traveller, 2 night stay in a superior room (I think?! Overlooked the golf course) My room was amazing, huge, lovely big bed, hydro bath, nice treats in the fridge, plus a big windowsill that I could sit in and look out to the golf course. Loved it. Dinner menu was disappointing, I’m a vegan and the website said vegans catered for but there was nothing on the menu, when I asked they said they could do alternatives to the veggie options but I wasn’t going to pay £17/18 for tomato pasta thank you! So I went for a wander, found the golf club cafe and had a really good dinner there. They had 3+ vegan options, at a golf club cafe. Breakfast was fine, I could eat but it there wasn’t loads of options. All staff were friendly and the front desk staff were lovely and helpful. I will be returning in October

This is NOT a 4 star hotel maybe a 2 but definatly NOT 4. The reception area and bar look very nice howvere, you do get overpowered by the strong smell of aifreshner. As the hotel resurant only seats about 25 to 30 people it is chasos at breakfast. We were unable to sample the evening food as the resturant had been booked by 2 tourist coaches. We were told we could sit in the bar and eat where the tables are about 18" high and the seats 10". The resturant and the bar join a fucntion room which had a 18th birthday party so they were also using the bar. Between the party and the 2 coach loads of tourists it was not a pleasent evening. Beyond the reception our room smelt very damp and musky, we instantly had to open the window. They do not use matress protectors and the matress was very soiled. There was a large crack in the sink which was very sharp, the mirror and the toilet roll holder were hanging off the wall. The carpet had lots of stains and the room felt dirty. I would not recomend this hotel.

Booker sometime back, superior room booked, we got a standard room I think, detail says slippers, bathrobe etc, we didn't have these. Remove for tv broken, my son couldn't watch tv at all. Check in very slow too.

No room servicing if staying more than 1 night

They have a new system of not servicing rooms now - we have stayed lots b4, but won't again - after staying more than 1 day, you do not get clean towels, bed made, rubbbish removed or a vacuum of the floors. NeTea bags or coffee, no clean cups or glasses for use. And we are told this is to "help the planet" - I thought it was to help their profits really!
